The International Cricket Council (ICC) has sent the Champions Trophy from Dubai to Islamabad as Pakistan gears up to host the tournament from February 19 to March 9, 2025.

The BCCI has informed the ICC about its inability to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The ICC, in turn, has sought a response from the PCB on hosting the tournament in a hybrid model.

Pakistan are Champions Trophy holders, having beaten arch-rivals India in the final in the UK by 180 runs in 2017. Meanwhile, the first ever ICC Women's Champions Trophy will be hosted by Sri Lanka in 2027 and it'll be played in T20I format.
