Apple has halted the distribution of iPadOS 18 to models of the iPad Pro equipped with the M4 chip, after users reported the update was bricking their tablets.

Of course, this is the iPad Pro and it looks great, packs in a lot of power, and has an extremely impressive battery life. But do you really need all that?

Apple has pulled the iPadOS 18 update for the M4 iPad Pros after it bricked some of the tablets, MacRumors reports. Apple began rolling out iPadOS 18 to eligible devices on Sept. 16, but users on Reddit and Apple Discussions soon complained about their iPads not turning back on after the update.

Apple has temporarily paused the roll out of iPadOS 18 for Apple Silicon M4-powered iPad Pro after some users complained that the update bricked their devices. Early reports came on Monday soon after the roll out began at around 10:30PM IST.
